Revolutionizing blogsvertising

Advertising in blogs now goes a step further. Blogsvertise has successfully integrated advertising into content and made it a rewarding proposition for all the parties.

It’s a win win situation for all the parties. Bloggers earn some extra cash, as they mention advertisers in the blog posts, internet journals. They discuss, debate, talk and/or constructively criticize about the products and services of the advertisers and thus generate a buzz in the blogosphere. Blogsvertise pays bloggers via paypal for per entry/post.

For the advertisers, Blogsvertise is an amazing concept as notwithstanding the mainstream media, their idea/product/service cost-effectively gets promoted on the web sphere without the strong flavor of hardcore advertising.

Arnold Schwarzenegger visiting India to explore biz opportunites

Rollover Bill Clinton. India may soon get a Hollywood movie star as brand ambassador. And this one heads one of America's richest states too. Thanks to the efforts of Indian-American IT honchos in Silicon Valley- including Raj Jaswa, Kanwal Rekhi, Sanjay Subhedar, Kumar Malavalli, Prmod Haque, Naren Gupta and Romesh Wadhwani—the Indian cities will play host to Californian 'governor' Arnold Schwarzenegger early next year.

Even as the ‘governor’ himself gives Californians his favorite one-liner 'I’ll be back' in his campaign for re-election this November, his trade office is busy preparing for the five-day, multi-city trip to India in February-March 2007 with a business delegation.

It started with the TiECon Conference in Silicon Valley last May, where Schwarzenegger was a speaker. "The governor showed an interest in visiting India to look at opportunities for business partnerships between the two regions. We felt that this would be very good for India, given California’s leadership position as one of the world’s biggest economies," Bay Area VC, entrepreneur and TiE Silicon Valley president Raj Jaswa, told ET.

The governor announced the trade mission at a gathering of Indian American business leaders at Jaswa’s house in the valley recently.

Even though most of the prominent entrepreneurs of Indian origin in California’s Bay Area are from IT sector, hi-tech may just end up taking a back seat during the gubernatorial visit. "California is in a leadership position in diverse industries and we are looking at business opportunities being explored between the two regions in areas such as biotech, food processing, farming, agrotech, tourism, hospitality, clean energy, healthcare and infrastructure.

The governor, who represents American show business, has shown interest in India’s entertainment industry," Jaswa said. Many of California’s Ivy League Universities are looking at recruiting more students from India and are also likely to participate in the delegation. Besides, TiE, which is an organization for Indian entrepreneurs globally, other Indian American groups like American Associations of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPIO) and Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) are also being roped in to join Arny’s 60-100 member team.

"The trade mission will explore business opportunities and interact with business and political leaders. It will not just be a photo-op. The governor may perhaps be better known as movie stars, but he is also a real estate entrepreneur. He has been an early supporter of India. It is a little known fact that the first unsolicited check (for $50,000) that we receive during our Gujrat earthquake fundraiser in California in 2000 was from him. His wife Maria Shriver, who’s John F Kennedy’s niece, was in India recently amd her first visit set the stage for next year’s trade mission," Jaswa said.

10 signs someone is lying to you

Well, its no proven science. This one merely falls under the behaviroal science category. And irrespective of all the science and development and research and development going around all of us you wish you had a Pinocchio like software/gadget to get that liar off guard whenever he/she utters a unintented/intended/soft/hard/political/sociteal white and not so white lies.

So, the bottomline is we dont know if someone is lying (even MTV VJs also lie in their own trademark smiling way). Here I found an article where it talks about the seven common signs of lying.

1. No eye contact: I think more novices do that. The more the experienced one is the less it is...
2. Change in voice: Stammering and unusual silence etc.
3. Unusual body language: Both the hands are on the forehead. Heh.
4. Something sounds fishy: Yes, contradiction in comments.
5. Overly defensive:
6. Changes subject easily
7. Humor or sarcasm

My addition:

8. Artificial Anger: Dont you know being offensive is the best form of defence.
9. Overly offensive: Hey. aint you hiding your foul mis deeds?
10. Over emphasis on normalcy: And copying sterotape vocabularies/body language whcih is so unnormal of him/her.

Top 10 Reasons to Enroll For the Diabetes Exercise & Sports Association

Diabetes is pretty soon going to bite one third of all Americans. I am not counting the impact on the remaining part of the world. Those with diabetes mellitus either cannot produce the required insulin or the insulin they will produce in anyway will prove to be useless in stimulating the uptake of blood sugar or glucose into body’s cells.

Diabetes Exercise & Sport Association (DESA) was established in 1985 with one of missions to "create opportunities for those with diabetes to participate in a broad range of recreational, sport and athletic activities" among others.

The Diabetes Exercise & Sport Association (DESA) lists the "Top Ten Reasons To Become A DESA Member":

10. I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes and need to connect with resources to help me achieve my athletic goals.

9. The best friends in my life are DESA members I have come to know through DESA activities and conferences.

8. DESA conferences are an opportunity for me to meet leaders in the field of diabetes research and heath care professional to learn the latest development in exercise related subjects, diabetes equipment and supplies.

7. The DESA quarterly newsletter, The Challenge, is a quality publication of timely and useful information on diabetes control through exercise.

6. I want to have dialogue with others facing the same challenges as I do and the DESA Online Forum is a great opportunity to do this.

5. I want to get started on an exercise program and receive encouragement to "stick with it" from DESA and its members.

4. I want to become active in advancing the DESA mission. My membership decision is an important step in doing this.

3. DESA has supported and helped people with diabetes from around the globe by establishing DESA Canada and DESA Europe to address the need for exercise knowledge and support among people with diabetes. Many of our members are just starting an exercise program, while others have succeeded at levels that most only dream of, including climbing Mt. Everest, biking across the United States, and enduring extreme sport activities and marathons.

2. We are the leading international nonprofit diabetes organization dedicated to diabetes health, wellness and prevention through exercise.

1. The Diabetes Exercise and Sports Association (DESA) has a single, focused mission: to teach healthy and safe exercise strategies in the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes and the prevention of type 2 diabetes.
